Inside the Headset with the AFCA

Mar 19, 2020

This week on Inside the Headset we speak with Washington Redskins Defensive Backs Coach, Chris Harris. We discuss the challenges of going from a player to a coach, the importance of getting out of your comfort zone when networking, as well as the differences and challenges of coaching at the NFL level.

Chris Harris was a sixth-round draft pick out of the University of Louisiana at Monroe (2001-04) and played eight years in the NFL with the Bears (2005-06, 10-11), Panthers (2007-09), Lions (2011), and Jaguars (2012) and recorded an interception in Super Bowl 41. Coach Harris just finished his sixth season as an NFL coach. Harris has had stints as the defensive quality control for the Bears (2013-14), assistant defensive backs coach with the Chargers (2016-19), and now as the defensive backs coach with the Redskins (2020).
