This week on Inside the Headset, we are featuring North Dakota States Quarterback Coach and Associate Head Coach, Randy Hedberg. Coach Hedberg highlights the importance of developing relationships in the coaching world, goes in depth on how he prepares his quarterbacks to be successful on gameday, and shares why coaches need to be adaptable to an ever-changing profession.

Randy Hedberg has been North Dakota States Quarterback Coach since 2014. He was elevated to Associate Head Coach and passing game coordinator in 2019. While at North Dakota State, Coach Hedberg has help the Bison win four FCS National Championship Titles and has coached multiple NFL quarterbacks including Carson Wentz and Trey Lance. Hedberg has been part of Bison teams that have produced six of the top seven seasons of total offense in NDSU history.

Prior to North Dakota State, Hedberg was the Head Coach for nine seasons at North Central Conference rival St. Cloud State and came to NDSU after six seasons as the Quarterbacks Coach and Co-Offensive coordinator at Southern Illinois. Before Coach Hedberg began his coaching career in 1982, he was a starting NFL quarterback where he spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers.
