This week on Inside the Headset with the AFCA we’re joined by SMU Defensive Quality Control Coach, Chris Scott.

Scott began his coaching career on the high school level at Nimitz High School in Irving, Texas in 2012, followed by a two-year stint as defensive and special teams coordinator at Katy Tompkins HS in Katy, Texas. In 2015, he made the jump to the college level at Southern University as defensive backs coach. In 2016, he joined the SMU staff as graduate assistant.

On this episode Coach Scott talked about the transition from high school coaching to the college ranks, how to bring value as a graduate assistant, and he also shared insight from his AFCA Insider article, 13 Keys To Success For The Graduate Assistant.
