Inside the Headset with the AFCA

Oct 29, 2020

This week on Inside the Headset we are featuring Clarksville High School Athletic Director and Head Coach Jarrick Farmer. Coach Farmer shares the significance of coaching multiple sports, discusses the challenges of becoming a head coach during an ongoing pandemic, and highlights the newfound responsibilities of serving as an athletic director.

Jarrick Farmer took over as the Athletic Director and head football coach at Clarksville High School (TX) in July 2020. Prior to joining the Blue Tigers, Farmer served as the cornerbacks coach at Gilmer High School (TX) and the defensive backs coach at Hallsville High School (TX).

Before joining each of those East Texas schools, Farmer worked as the defensive coordinator and head girls track coach at Atlanta High School (TX), where he won a state championship. Coach Farmer also has experience at the collegiate level, serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Arkansas. There, he helped contribute to the Razorbacks' 2010 AutoZone Liberty Bowl victory.
